My husband is going to jail and need some advice?

His name is matt he is 18. A couple months after his bday he wrote some bad checks, He didn't know they were bad until later. it is over 300 dollars worth of bad checks. He has to have 3,000 dollars by today at 1. or he goes to jail for a year. He has two sons and a wife (me). I need to know if their is anything I can do to help him et out of this or how to make a payment plan? Or if he can say he is a youthful offender just please help me...My husband is going to jail and need some advice?

sounds like you live in Ms. It is really up to the judge and the people he wrote the bad checks to.
Why last minute, did he ignore notices to pay?


The matter should have been heard (court) then restitution or jail, or FTP on checks after notice given was not done?

$3,000 bail.


$1,000 per check. (Something missing here)


A bail bondsman could assist but they need 10% of the 3,000 (300 cash or property.)
No, he's not considered a ';youthful offender'; as you put it. He's 18, so that makes him legally an adult. Sorry, but unless you're able to come up with the money, there really isn't much you can do.
He has no choice but to PAY.. that's it. If he was a 'juvie' they would have prosecuted him as such... he's an adult and will be given no breaks. He must pay the cash.
He has two kids and he's only eighteen??





Or is it that you already had two kids and you're much older than him?





Seems to me he needs to grow up. Best thing is for him to do his jail term, it might teach him something.





If the two kids are his, then you should be in Jail too!
