Husband goes dizzy in bed, room spinning?! Advice please!?!?

My husband went to bed last night %26amp; said he felt ok then after a few minutes of trying to nod off e went really dizzy, like he was drunk %26amp; the room was spinning. He said his legs felt numb (he has pins in them so they often go dead in bed, dont think this is related to the dizzyness) he said he lifted his head off the pillow %26amp; it eased up a little but once he laid down %26amp; closed his eyes it happened again! He said he felt drunk but he didnt feel sick or anything.

This morning hes woke up feeling really tired, like he hasnt slept but doesnt have any symptoms of a cold or bug coming along, he says he feels ok except exhausted. What could this be? The sign of a virus, his eyes/ears acting up, blood pressure???

Its only happened once but im wondering if it happens again should he see his GP?? Any advice is really appreciated %26amp; best answer gets 5 stars. Thanks in advance of answers

Hon, the best advice is to get him to see his gp. This could be related to a middle ear problem (such as labrynthitis) or a sharp drop in blood pressure (orthostatic hypotension). There simply is no way for us to tell here. I hope it resolves quickly and easily...Good luck!Husband goes dizzy in bed, room spinning?! Advice please!?!?
Hey,

I suffer from that on and off, its called Vertigo, and no its not just a fear of heights, you feel dizzy and sometimes vomit with it (i don't myself but others that suffer have). Hopefully that is all it is, it can be treated by you GP but just for your own well being you should bring him to the doctor and let Him/her assess he problem. I'm not a qualified doctor or nurse but those symptoms are very like the vertigo. Hope he starts to feel better soon!!
I think it's symptoms of having a cold. I always get that when I'm tired and not feeling well. I got it the other day int he middle of the day when I was wide awake too. It's not anything really bad, don't worry.
please take him now to see gp could bo fine i went last week after something like that just said in passing bout it and gp said might be mini stroke went home shock brought on huge one im only forty spent 2 days in hospital numb down left side problems with speech please please take him if nothing great but better safe good luck
anything involving the room spinning is usually to do with your inner ear's balance organ.

it could be an inner ear infection, meniere's disease, labyrinthitis or benign positional vertigo

definitely worth speaking to his gp.
He had best get a check up. It could be anything. Like blood pressure, tiredness or just getting up too fast.

See the doctor just to make sure

Good luck
