I really want to adopt a kitten or a cat but my husband doesn't want to, any advice anyone?

How can I convince my husband to adopt a kitten or cat. He thinks there disgusting and nasty. But I just love kittens. There so cute and adorable. When we go to the pet store to see the little kittens and puppies, he just ignores me when I ask him to adopt one.





I dont know what to do. Ive been asking him since last year. I know the kitten or cat would be in great hands, because it would have all the attention and I know it would be very spoiled lol.





So any advice anyone? I really want to adopt a kitten or a cat but my husband doesn't want to, any advice anyone?
It is not worth risking adding stress to your marriage in the form of any animal. If he doesn't want one, he doesn't want one. I do not recommend going out and adopting one without his consent either... that would just make hubby resentful and who knows what would happen to the poor cat. It is not worth potentially sacrificing your marriage's happiness over undue stress from adding an unwanted animal, and it would bring who knows what kind of bad things to the unwanted cat's life. Ask him why he doesn't want a cat in the house. Is he allergic, he doesn't want the cat around the kids? It has to be a reason.
my advice... don't give up on the idea, but certainly don't go out and get one without him knowing.





some people just aren't cat people. and some will adamantly proclaim to be that way and there ain't nothing you can do about it.





one way to maybe sway him in your direction would be to look into temporarily taking care of a friend or family members cat (i'd suggest fostering, but that may get you attached to the cat and want to adopt it). this gives your husband the opportunity to see how his life might be impacted by having a cat around.
